Math is fun

No one would deny that numbers gave many of us jitters throughout the educational life or even after that. Life felt threatening under the constant fear to face math. Even today the number crunchers are considered from another planet altogether. Lets snoop around and find the truth.
The fear for mathematics is very common and interestingly starts at a very young age and remains there for long. However people who find math interesting feels that it’s the most amazing subject.  Why only math is feared more than probably any subject in early stage of education?
To understand this we should agree that math is not actually presented to them in a practical way or in a way they like things. Imagine the plight of the teachers or parents teaching a small kid multiplication or division compared to teaching vocabulary with help of a nice story. Bingo! You have hit the nail in its head. There is nothing wrong or tough in the subject but the problem is how to make the kid interested in the subject. It is generally accepted that when kids get involved in anything interesting they learn it faster and also retain the learning.
This is where the solution lies. Making math a fun for kids can actually help them to overcome any fear and make numbers their friends. Much innovation and conceptualization is required to get into the psyche of young mind and develop educational aids with the fun element in it. Educational games like maths game for kids can be very useful in teaching children the fundamentals of math and the best part is they learn it while playing.

So now when you know math can really be fun do not let the coming generation have the fear for the subject. Also if you feel that there is still a fear in you for numbers it is never too late!!

Mother’s Day-It's for you mom,i love you....

The journey of life starts in her womb; her unconditional love, affection and sacrifices create the world around us. No worldly definition can describe the six letter word called MOTHER in its true sense.
Mother is the epitome of love and affection and is universal in presence. She is the only person on earth who can bear any pain, sacrifice just to see her child happy and safe. She is the magician who can sooth away any pain from life just with her touch.
World salutes and celebrates the motherhood in unison on the occasion of Mother’s day. Although Mother’s day is celebrated in different days in various parts of globe, with most accepted is the second Sunday in May.  Every year this day is celebrated to express the respect and love for our Mothers. While historic records show that the tradition is very old to ancient Greek tribute to ‘Rhea’ or the ten-day festival in India known as ‘Durga Puja’ or "Mothering Sunday" in England are some examples of it.
Mother’s day is the perfect occasion to pay tribute to your mother and do something to show how important she is in your life. There are no fixed rules to celebrate Mother’s day as the love of mother expects nothing in return. So it is up to us how we can make her happy.

Here are a few tips from Gudli for the kids
  • Wish her in the morning
  • Be nice and caring to her all the time
  • Do something for her like painting, write a poem, make a poster “I Love You Mom” or give her a greeting card or flowers.
  •  Above all love and respect her from inside and she will know it.
Remember you are always the little kid for your mom so this Mother’s day make it special for your Mother.

Some funny kid statements

Some of these i compiled from sources and some are real one. These statemets always make me laugh :)

Smart kid :

An exasperated mother, whose son was always getting into mischief, finally asked him, "How do you expect to get into heaven?" The boy thought it over and said, "Well, I'll just run in and out and in and out and keep slamming the door until St. Peter says, 'For heaven's sake, Jimmy, come in or stay out.'"
Logic Sense
"Give me a sentence about a public servant," said a teacher. The small boy wrote: "The fireman came down the ladder pregnant." The teacher took the lad aside to correct him. "Don't you know what pregnant means?" she asked. "Sure," said the young boy confidently. "It means carrying a child."

WATER-Need of our life....

Water is a very important part of our environment. It is found covering nearly three quarters of the Earth’s surface. It is fun to splash in and it is also needed for life. In fact, we can survive much longer without food than without water to drink. Every living thing needs water. Without it, plants and trees will not grow; fish, clams, dolphins and other aquatic life will have nowhere to live; and animals like otters who find their food in the water will have nothing to eat.
And did you know that when we drink water, there are some nutrients and minerals dissolved in the water? Fluoride is commonly added to drinking water in the United States to help prevent cavities from forming in our teeth. Plants “drink” water as well by absorbing it through their roots. Minerals and other nutrients enter the plant with the water. When we eat plants, some of these same nutrients give us energy to run, play and think.
The three forms of water are solid, liquid and gas. Did you guess right? Solid water is frozen and known as ice. When water is boiled, or the sun heats the surface of a body of water, its molecules can absorb enough energy to evaporate into the air—that is, to become a gas called water vapor. Up in Earth’s atmosphere, water vapor cools and collects into clouds.
When enough clusters of cloud particles stick together, they tumble back down to Earth as rain, snow, hail, or sleet. This process of water evaporating, condensing and falling to Earth is the water cycle. Water on the Earth can flow above the ground in a stream or river. It can run underground, too. And water can also be frozen into large glaciers. Whichever form it is in, it can be a powerful force, changing the shape of the land as it erodes mountains and carves valleys.
We cannot survive on Earth without water—so we must all do our part to take care of it. People use the fresh water of lakes and rivers for drinking, washing, cooking and growing food. Did you know that most of the world’s population does not have direct access to clean water? We are very lucky to live in a country where clean water is “streaming” from our faucets.
It is up to us to be responsible users of the water available on Earth.
